Osteopathy and Cranial Osteopathy in Beckenham

Many people ask what attracted me to Osteopathy. From an early age I was fascinated by nature and spent many a summers evening in the garden concocting various lotions and potions from petals, leaves and mud; then applying them to my family, friends and pets to make them “feel better”. Luckily they all survived! This interest in nature developed into a love of science and the desire to help developed into a wish for a career in health care.  After a few years working in the city, I started to investigate various alternative therapies. At an open day at one of the Osteopathic schools, I was completely hooked; Osteopathy seemed to offer just what I was looking for. So I embarked on a 4 year Osteopathy degree at the European School of Osteopathy, graduating in 2000.

After graduating, I joined the Complementary Health Centre in Lee, South East London. It was here that I developed my interest and experience in Cranial Osteopathy. I then decided to develop my own practice in Beckenham, Kent. This has become very much a family orientated practice, serving the local community from newborn babies, their siblings, parents and grandparents. I currently work from both practices, but have also worked for a number of years in a NHS funded GP practice and taught and examined Osteopathic technique at the European School of Osteopathy.

Over the past few years I have been continuing to study and develop my skills and experience of Osteopathy in the cranial field, attending many courses, particularly those run by the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy. I am proud to say that I have successfully gained Fellowship of the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy having completed their comprehensive postgraduate pathway in cranial osteopathic education. Since having a family myself, I have become particularly interested in the treatment of women during and after their pregnancy and the treatment of babies and children. I have completed many obstetric and paediatric post graduate courses to reflect my interest.

I love Osteopathy.  I feel privileged to help my patients find health and wellbeing.
